What I wouldn't give to live in a lake, we lived under a rock and ate gravel for Breakfast...
Monkeyboy
"Gravel???"
How the heck were you able to get yummy, tasty gravel to eat?
We were making do with sand.

Gravel was only on Christmas day mind, most of the time we'd get air to eat, IF WE WERE LUCKY! Sometimes i'd go to sleep hungry after a 25 hour day at work still hungry...

Ah what I wouldn't give to have a beard like Abraham Lincoln! We would have to shave ours off to share around the whole family to try and keep warm!
A tophat! A TOPHAT! We're so poor we couldn't even afford a bottom hat! Born in a cabin too!?!? Lucky, lucky bastard! I was born under a cow! not actually under it! couldn't have afford the rent! I was only kept warm from the shadow of a cow!

You had shadows? We didn't even have a light source... the sun hadn't been invented yet, and we were too far away from any other star. I was born in (primodial) ooze.
Be well,

That is true.
The easiest way to tell most of the originals is by looking at their join date. There was the big crash back in 2000 when everything had to shift to a different board software. Everyone was required to re-register. The general public was invited back in May of 2000. Most (but not all) of those that were here re-registered then. Some trickled in over the next several months. A few have registered under a different name since then.

Must be hard to type then, with your hands nailed to a cross, Spartacus :D

I type with my nose. I'm pretty good at it now, considering how long I've had to practice. The problem is finding people to stand on a stepladder and hold the keyboard up to my face so I can type. They tend to get bored and wander off after a while, the bastards! It's not like I can just climb down off this cross any time I want to visit a nearby Internet Cafetorium.
This whole "Lead a rebellion then get nailed to some bits of wood" isn't as much fun as my highschool career advisor made it sound. If I ever do manage to get off this cross, they're the first person I'm going to go looking for. Crassus is #2 on my list.
