Hey Guys,

I just returned from the Kuroda Tetsuzan seminar in San Diego. 4 days of 6 hour a day training with one of Japans very best. What a treat!

The guy is the fastest human being with a sword I have ever seen. ( if you don't believe me..ask Nathan Scott. Yeeeeow!) Ad to that his polite demeanor, great sense of humor and unique openess and you've got one heck of a good time.

Thanks to James Williams for bringing him in.

Thanks to John Bullard of San Antonio for bringing him to the U.S.

And thanks to Big Tony Alverez for not killing me during the jujutsu techniques. I could have died !

Very, Very, good seminar. I had a great learning experience from it. I'm still swimming in all the information I got in just two days. I wish I could've stayed for the 3rd and 4th days, but the shop just doesn't run itself (gratefully so).

Kuroda-san was incredibly adept, fluid, knowlegable, and helpful. His fitness level is amazing as well. It was interesting to see that regardless of fitness or skill level, everybody was learning because the principles were so advanced. The sword techniques were incredibly intricate. But when He applied them at his pace, whoa, look out! I remember saying to myself, "Where the heck did that come from?" a few times when he demonstrated them with his assistants. He made it look so easy.

My legs were out of commision for a couple of days after all that stance work, whew!. (insert whimpy, fat bottomed lip, whimpering look here) My cheeks hurt too....from laughing with Toby, Reverend John, Big Tony and the gang during breaks and after the seminar.

Toby, if you lived closer I'd be scared. We'd all just get into trouble and our wives would leave us for better looking dudes. Too much fun. Tell the Reverend John I said hello.
