Hikida Shinkage Ryu nagamaki-jutsu?!

Hi All!
I have questions about the unusual nagamaki of the Hikida Shinkage Ryu and about the ryu in general. Here some pics i found in a german forum. I guess these pictures show members of the Hikida Shinkage Ryu but i am not 100% sure. Could some one tell something about the pictures , the ryu and the unsusual nagamaki , that look for me like a katana with som leather wrapped around some part of the blade?

They are photos of members of the Owari Kan Ryu - who also practise Shinkage Ryu.

Aparently it is called an Odachi by the ryu.

Sorry I dont know anything further, other than yeah - it's an Odachi, without a tsuba, with wrapping extending part way up the blade, as you said.

E-Budo member Russ Ebert has put a clip up on youtube showing an Enbu performed by members of the Owari Kan Ryu, showing some Hikida Kage Ryu Odachi kata.
