I bought a "Shinto Muso-ryu" bokken from Tozandos Bokkenshop, like the one I wrote about in this forum several months ago. The bokken is solid, heavy and even pleasing to the eye and I'm very happy with it. It's also larger and thicker than a regular bokuto.

Problem is it didn't arrive with a tsuba and all the available tsubas on the bokkenshop site lists specifically as "Not for use with stylized bokken", that is to say MY bokken. In general I don't need a tsuba and the bokken doesn't look like it was designed for it anyways. But I still need to protect my fingers from time to time in some kata and/or drills. I sent an email to bokkenshop inquiring if they had any kind of tsuba available for the SMR-bokken but I have gotten no reply in 7 days.

So I was wondering if anyone know of any site/store where you can order customized tsubas as alternative to creating one on your own :p.

Thanks in advance.

Kim Taylor sells leather tsuba through Sei Do Kai Supplies. The ones I've seen are made of moosehide. The stitched cow leather ones are cheaper, and still much nicer than plastic.
