This is the new movie by Yamada Yoji, director of Tasogere Seibei(Twilight Samurai). Has anyone else seen it yet?
Well i enjoyed it, not to give too much away, it the story of a Samurai who is stuck blind, it follows him learning to cope with his blindness and the effect this has on his wife and their life. I enjoyed the movie, the characters were sympathetic and realistic as was the plot. Some of the uses of sound after he is struck blind are very intelligent, especially the thunder to represent his outrage and anger.
Recommend it very highly, not as good as Tasogere Seibei, but still very good.
