Can anyone recall who made the qoute " Business Is War !" ??

My online searches pointed me straight to Carl von Clausewitz. But I was under the impression that this was a Japanese qoute or perhaps Sun Tzu.

I would agree that Clausewitz said 'business is war'. which he seems to have said in the 1830s.

Not that I am aware of. I have read the Art of War and the Go Rin No Sho in several translations, particularly related to business strategy and cannot recall it in either.

It is probably a more modern play on words such as the quote from the Clausewitz pages:
("Business is war. Arm yourself." Motoman 2-page ad in Manufacturing Engineering, August 1994).
