a question about the iaido forms from hoki ryu. Are there only 15 iaiforms. Or are there exists more forms at the advanced level?
On wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hōki-ryū) i see beginning and middle sets and no advanced,
thanks

Ask Rennis.
I'm pretty sure he'll read this and formulate a response in time.

The link Rasmus gave has more information, but the simple answer is that it depends on the group. Some groups only do those 15. Some do a few more, a select few do a lot more and more often than not those groups ask that those kata not be performed (or discussed in detail) in front of outsiders.

Hi Rennis,
do you know which groups train more than 15 katas? Or is this different in every Dojo?
thanks

Nearly every dojo is independent these days so it is hard to give any clear cut answers. If, what and when each group teaches varies greatly.
