I have heard the 12th kata in the ZNKR set is a Hoki-Ryu form; Nukiuchi. There is a nukiuchi in the Musu Jikiden Eishin-Ryu iaijutsu, Shoden set. Is this the same or different. If different, how is it preformed? Thank you for any information.

Looking at the pictures I would say it doesnt resemble Hokiryu in any way at all. Anyway judge for yourself.

Hi,
Some sources claim it is from Mugai Ryu (a standing version of Ren perhaps?), though possibly a combination of MJER and Mugai Ryu kata, both from seiza into a standing form is the answer. We'll see.
