Dear E-Budo members:

Is anyone aware of any classical sword schools in the Maryland, DC/VA metro area? I live near Rockville, MD, and am within driving distance of Baltimore, DC, and Northern VA.

I'm not interested in modern styles or modern iado. Just looking for any authentic koryu sword in my area.

Thanks for any info you can provide,
Sincerely,
Arman Partamian

Check out Greg Huff-sensei in Woodbridge, Va. He is a rokudan in MJER and is an excellent teacher and swordsman. His web-page is http://www.eishinkai.homestead.com/ (http://www.eishinkai.homestead.com)

If you don't have any luck finding a classical art and still want to train in a sword art, there's a Shidogakuin Kendo dojo in Rockville. They do iaido every so often there.

I don't know if kendo interests you at all but just thought I'd offer the information. The Shidogakuin website is at www.kendoka.org

Hope this helps you.
