How many faults can you find with this apparent kendoka?

Well the Tare for one !!!!
The Men, I can't decide how he has his men tied as he has it tied around the from t of the Nodo (SP?) which I know is acceptable but it is also tied about five or six bars down in a very strange way.
I think I might copy this and turn up at my Dojo dressed like this on Friday, see what they say or see if they kick my arse.... In fact I've got a better Idea I have a grading this weekend, what do you think ...... Will I pass dressed like this ????????
Also one last nit pick he still has the strings wrapped round his shinai from when it was bought ...... He He He He.:D

Is it just me or does the Kote appear to be laced all the way up and drawn tight?

Hmm...I'm still trying to figure out what kamae he's standing in.
Maybe it's from an older school, like one founded in the Pre-Jomon period

Let me know if you are gonna do this - It'll be worth an hour's drive just to see!
Good luck with the grading - which one is it?

Faultless.
A Japanese grandad who has retired to Australia that did kendo when he was seven years old. Can't tie the men because the little brat who was totaly dependant on mummy and had to sit and let sensei put it on for him.
The stance is perfect. Thousands of pi??ed off kids used stand in the dojo like this at 6:00 a.m. Because Mum had kicked them out to go and be hit over the head by some equally ?issed off teacher who had a bad back from having to bend over at let them hit him too.
The stance Ie ni Kaeru gamai with this slightly raised back foot signifies a strong will to return home as soon as possible or " What? I didn't hear you. You don't want me to do this again do you?
The strong right hand grip and faltering left means he can lean on the shinai like a walking stick when sensei isn't looking.
The lack of using a men towel is deliberate. This way he will have to take off his men, put on the towel and waste more time.
But the inside out tare is a wonderful idea. Maybe if I do that now and again mine will last longer?
On a slightly more serious note. If you use the tie around the nodo method. there is a special single leather thong you buy which fixes top middle of the men gane. Not the double ones at the sides.
