    Question Sageo help..

    Hello all,
I would like any information out there on the various ways of tying the Sageo to the Saya itself for the purpose of displaying the sword. I can manage the 'cho musubi' knots but it seems to always work loose. Any ideas on what I can do to prevent this happening?
Also, as there are individual methods for Obi tying, sword positioning, sageo to Obi knots etc. in each ryu-ha I was wondering if the same applied to Sageo knots for displaying the sword. Do the individual schools practised by people here use alternative methods for this? And could they direct me to a site or something else to see them?
I would greatly appreciate help here..I would love to be able to re-tie the Sageo as it was when I first got it but really have no clue where to begin!
    Any help appreciated.

Default Have you had a look at...

    Frd Lohman's site?

    http://www.japanese-swords.com/pages/Tying_Sageo.htm

I usually chuck my sageo into my own little variant of the simple utility knot (1) after practice, but some of the display knots look quite nice.

I have no idea at all as to whether there are any ryuu specific decorative knots, sadly.

    Regards,

    Chris.
