I think these guys fit in with the Aikidoka that when giving a demo have uke do a "karate" punch or kick or "chop" that looks pretty damn stupid.
They are also kind of like the Ninja guys that wear a black karate gi.

Oderint, dum metuant-Let them hate, so long as they fear.
Is that the "hedge-trimmer" cut or the "weed-eater" cut?
Either way I want to hire them to work on my yard.
Dear Mom and Dad,
Having fun at Karate camp.

Trolloc: - Creatures of the Dark One, created during the
War of the Shadow. Huge of stature, they are a twisted blend of animal and human stock. Divided into tribe-like bands, among them the Dha'vol, the Ko'bal, and the Dhai'mon. Vicious by nature, they kill for the pure pleasure of killing. Deceitful in the extreme, they cannot be trusted unless coerced by fear.

Anyone want to complain about this one?

He basically paraphrased the entry for Trollocs in the glossary of "The Eye of the World" by Robert Jordan, the first book in the Wheel of Time series. Debatably the best piece of epic fantasy ever put to print(and I am a Tolkien fan thank you very much). Be warned though, the 9 books in the series that have been printed to date total more than 6200 pages in hardback, and there's probably 2 to 4 more books to go.

a shinai grip is distinctly different from how i've been taught to hold a sword for aikido or jodo, but those photos do a good job of showing the basic alignment of the hands. the space between the hands is the result of a shinai's long haft; the hafts on my two bokuto are quite a bit shorter, especially the one i use for jo training.
and Robert, about those lawn care needs: i wonder if the boys from Ninja Burger would be willing to take care of things as a side order.

Those who know will not speak ...
So I guess that means I don't know a thing!
John, no complaints about her grip ...
But these guys may not pay attention to her "chakin shibori"

That photo reminds me of Ohtsuka the founder of Wado Ryu when he used to do a demo and have some guy try to hack him with a sword.........it was just as equally amuzing as the above photo.
