Liking Tokaido is an opinion, not an insult to manufacturers of lesser known brands and shouldn't be taken as such. We can only ever speak from personal experience and in mine, Tokaido is pretty much ideal.

Then why the line "end of story"?
As someone who has tried both, I can vouch for Isami as wayyy better.

ah. I've read your other posts.
My "End of story" ended my statement - that to me, it was the end of the story. Sorry if my tanslation came over incorrectly. I have only tried the Shihan Isami gi (sorry, dogi!) and it was cut exceptionally badly for something that cost me over a hundred pounds.

Rob, I have two Isami Shorinji Kempo dogi, and they are both excellent. Try Kinteki (the site owners are friends of mine); I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I have one of the pre-"gee, katate will be in the olympics" gis from Addidas, and love it. It is heavyweight cotton, and has lasted for three years so far. I got it from http://www.goldentiger.com

Has anyone tried danrho gi? they are manufactured in germany, and up to now i've made only positive experiences, concerning longevity, durability and fit!
What stands for their superior quality is the fact that the company exists since the beginning of the century! so maybe you want to try these...for more info log on to:

You should vote for your favourite Karate uniform under Best Karate Gi
[Moderator's note: I have checked the link, and it leads to a German Karate/Budo forum. It looks safe, and non-spam, for any who want to follow Andreas Stum's desire for voters.]
