Hello,
I studied a little bit of Japanese, but Chinese is my first language. I have to agree that it definitely looks like old Chinese to me.
My knowledge of old Chinese is limited, but here is my interpretation of what it says:
Ž¢?@•î?@Ž¢?@˜\
you serve, you receive
–¯?@?p?@–¯?@Ž‰
‚½‚Ý‚Ì‚±‚¤?@?@‚½‚Ý‚Ì‚µ‚È‚è
The flesh of the people, the fat of the people
‰º?@–¯?@ˆÕ?@‹s
‚©‚Ý‚ñ‚Í?@?@?@‚µ‚¢‚½‚°‚â‚·‚«‚à
It's easy to abuse the people of lower class
?ã?@“V?@“ï?@‹\
‚¶‚傤‚Ä‚ñ‚Í?@‚_‚³‚Þ‚«‚ª‚½‚µ
[But] it's difficult to bully/ fool the heaven.
(the word ‹\ can mean to lie to, cover up your !!!, or to bully in Chinese)
Again, just my very unacademic interpretation!
