Jutte: Authentic Meiji period. Suggested Value: YEN 35,000 - 40,000
Jutte 2: Authentic. Hilt wrapped in "same" (sharkskin). Probably late Meiji period. Suggested Value: YEN 30,000 - 35,000.
Jutte 4: Brass with plating, rotating ring, engraved. Authentic - dating is probably late Tokugawa (bakumatsu) or early Meiji. Size indicates implement of rank rather than practical weapon. Suggested value: YEN 40,000 - 55,000
Kusarigama: polished oak handle, wrapped and lacquered. Two retaining rings at top and 1/4 of handle. Kama blade is straight single edged, appears to be specially forged. Chain is clearly hand-forged (rare, and very difficult to find). Weight is also hand forged. Probably late Tokugawa period (bakumatsu)Very good condition. Suggested Value: YEN 250,000 - 300,000
Kusarigama: Kama blade and handle are indicative of typical agrarian kama - simple curved single edged blade, not specially forged. Probably a Meiji-late Meiji item. Chain appears to be authentic but the weight is from a Japanese "hakari" (scale) used to measure commodities. Suggested Value: YEN 60,000 - 75,000
Authentic manrikigusari of the Masaki Ryu tradition. Thirty (30) hand forged links with rounded steel rings. Hand forged weights. Good balance and good feel. Suggested Value: YEN 180,000 - YEN 200,000
