An interesting article about the teachings of Yoshinori Kono.
We have discussed this fellow and his ideas before, but what do you think about his theory on fixed vs shifting fulcrums? When ordinary people fight using physical strength, they usually fix a particular joint (shoulder, elbow, etc.) like the fulcrum of a hinge. Therefore, people are accustomed to this "fixed-fulcrum-mode". Kono, however, has developed the body skill not to fix one particular fulcrum, in other words, the skill to shift the fulcrum from one part to another part of his body continuously ("shifting-fulcrum-mode").
