    Default Republic Of Ireland

I agree with saitama Steve, the Republic of Ireland should be listed seperately fropm the British Isles.

    Thumbs down Indeed

    I agree

Apart from being factually wrong it's just plain lazy.

    Smile Change Poll

Hopefully the poll creator will think about modifying the information so that we all will be happy.

The British isles is a geographical formation, including the UK, Isle of Man, The Channel Islands and the Scillies, If they take out the Republic of Ireland it would then be a political and not a geographical definition, I have often thought it would be better to change the name than the components, but it is Geographical and not a reflection on the separate Governments and peoples.

    Default Ireland ...

    heya ...

... sorry, but the poll is out of my hands. Once created I can't change it anymore. Only Moderators can. Unfortunately Steve - who changed the poll upon my request - chose to put the option this way. Don't ask me why. I would've made it "Great Britain / Ireland".

Why is there no Republic and Northern Ireland seperated in Rugby????
But there is in Football (soccer for you Americans )??

    In Athletics Ireland is complete.......

Geographically Ireland is a seperate entity, politically it is 2 entities (Northern and Republic).

This is not a place for political debate though, so it stays "United Kingdom/Ireland"

Germany is not separate, neither Spain, or even England.........
So either live with it, or don't bother going to the poll......
