I think it will the Saturday I am in attendance....or possibly the Sunday? Hmmm...what to wear? I'll look out for Scott...he's very recognisable. Especially when he has his sword attached to him.

I shall probably have my other half in attendance and I don't want any of you pervs offering to "show her your moves". OK.

Well no-one but Scott knows what i look like, so i can slip surrepticiously in without being spotted ... just like the Fuma Ryu!

My other half almost certainly won't be there ... but she might be tempted out later by the offer of beer and a night out!

didn't you post in the rouges gallery though?

Wouldn't it be funny if we did see any of the Fuma there?

we should make a plan of action if we do i.e. wee ourselves from laughing before giving them a wedgy...

I put a photo of me semi-naked back in summer of 2000. Taken from enough of a distance to not be able to make my face out well.

Only recent photo of me I got is of me holding a tow-bar (long story) and that just looks too silly to be posted on a public forum!

Default Bats and clubs and bamboo sticks

As previously mentioned, don't forget to come and see the British Kendo Association demos for iai, jodo and kendo (if they can be bothered).

I think I am organising the jodo demo so you can expect to see effective defence against someone armed with a rubber chicken.

I remember last year we managed to squeeze in 3 demos in between half hour sessions of kick-boxing classes showing how they do warm ups and stretches to music. Ho hum.

Boo them off guys and get us real weekend warriors on!

I'm sure there will be a few wolf wistles

I'll make sure we drop by for those, do you know what time it's scheduled for?

Just look for the net geeks in matching T-Shirts.

Default Timing (and who needs it)

There is a demo schedule (which I haven't seen yet) and if past history is anything to go by, it isn't worth the paper it is written on. Last year everyone ended taking just however much time they wanted meaning that some of the more realistic demos (jujutsu for one) go elbowed out.

Will be worth the entrance fee just for that!

How much is the entrance fee again lads?

I remember a couple of years ago there were some really bad demos, some people in Blue Dogi walking around doing half hearted karate'ish punches in a circle for 15 minutes!!!!! boring!

Also I'm a bored by Ballet Martial arts demos at the mo, it's all old hat. Probably just that girl doing dance moves again with silver super spinny nunchuku.

I want to see stuff thats real, arts not fancy moves. Paul Daniels can do card tricks but he's still a grippling.

It's £6 in advanced or £8 on the door, they have got food inside mostly fast food sort of stuff as well as drinks and training equ/weapons for purchase.

I've still got to find out if some other people I know are going to be there.

    Default Also worth seeing

Is David Reubens of Yoshinkan Aikido fame (see "Angry White Jim-Jams") who was there last year and will hopefully make a reappearance this year too.

Just make sure you wear a long black coat and sunglasses. Just stand there and watch the people flock!

Someone's been reading Frank Dux's 'Guide to Fooling Idiots' again!

Have some fancy looking binoculars and a piece of scaffolding pole painted to look like a rocket launcher as well!
