Allie goes back a long way in New York Metro, so I thought I'd ask my question here.

Jerome Mackey. Back in the late 1950s, he was owner of a franchise MA school chain in NY Metro. He started out in judo, then went to karate and kung fu as the fads hit.

Anyway, he was active in NYC from the 1950s to the 1970s. Currently, I'm doing some research on how martial arts were taught in NYC during that period, so I figured I'd see if anybody had any stories about Mackey, or other pioneers of franchise MA in the northeastern US.
