Default Commuting from Tokyo to Noda

    Hi,

I've searched on this site, kutaki and google. I know this question has been asked before but I honestly cannot find an answer on the net: How far is it from Tokyo to Noda and how long does it take by train?

Does anyone here do it on a regular basis?

    Thanks,
    Gerard

    Hi Gerard,

    You might try
    http://www.hyperdia.com/cgi-english/

It is a train timetable (also has the cost).

    Hope it helps.

Thanks for that, useful for me, too - my memory's terrible for that sort of thing.

It's worth pointing out that you want to go to 'Noda Shi' and not any of the other 'Noda' available. Once you work out the right platforms and lines, the journey's easy enough.

Actually, if you type in Atago(Chiba) as destination you wind up w/in walking distance of the Bujinkan Hombu Dojo.
George Ohashi's Website has directions from Atago to Hombu.

It's about 40 min or so from Kashiwa to Noda-shi.

It takes a little over an hour from Ueno station to get to Atago. In Ueno, take the Joban (green) line to Kashiwa. Make sure you get on an express train or it'll take a lot longer. In Kashiwa, transfer to the Tobu-Noda line, which you will then take to Atago. George Ohashi's directions will get you from the station to the Hombu.

Ueno is on both the Yamanote JR line and the Ginza subway line, so it's easy to get to from pretty much anywhere in Tokyo. So add however long it's going to take you to get to Ueno onto the above estimate.
