Don't tell Paruski that, his claims to lot of things are, how do i say. 'intesting?'

Fear not, he was asked not to use the name by honbu in Japan so it is now shin tenshin shin'yo ryu. He isn't the only one to claim a 7-dan, but i wonder they the stop at 7-dan. Perhaps to tell the real world of tenshin shin'yo ryu that no ond has achieved a higher grade? Or maybe the top grade is 7-dan?

I don't know and don't care what he claims anymore. He has pulled almost as many shenanigans as DocRod so I don't give it credibility, I just report on it.

I did invite him to be out guest in Spotlight on Budo but he declined.

I see from this that George Parulski is now 9 Dan, Hanshi http://www.hanshinoiinkai.org/members.htm

Having watched his so-called 'Go-no-Kata' CD-ROM several times, I am very confident in my mind that this kata is not the genuine article - I never for one minute thought that it was - I did though want to see it performed before I went into print.

The performance is liitered with poor style - especially the seiza and the tsugi-ashi.

On the CD-ROM, George Parulski states that he is 6 Dan with the USJA - this should be easily verifiable. Anyone know if that claim is true?

The problem with these kind of people (Parulski, etc) is that they force you into action.

Think of this: the original go no kata is no longer practiced or researched because of lack of interest/popularity. Only two people in the world still have knowledge of it, Once they are gone, it is lost forever.

The other (made up) go no kata gets imensely popular, mainly because it is made available for a large group of people and because it is well advertized it is a commercial succes. With the years this kata gets practiced more and more until it is practiced all over the world.

Now you have to excuse me I have to work on my own version of the go no kata. I learned it from a one-legged Japanese immigrant with a long white beard. He lived in my neighbourhood when I was a kid and never spoke to anyone.

Oh and Steve, aaah your pulling our legs (an old secret technique of Tenjin Shinyo-ryu I am sure) you can't fool us, everybody knows there are dangrades in TSR.

    Hi all

How many more times do we have to say the grading system in Tenjin Shinyo Ryu does NOT have dan grades, Steve ever thought you was talking to a brick wall.

Johan how do you know the secret techniques of TSR?

Come on Lee admit it about the dangrades.

The innermost secrets were revealed to me by a one-legged, white bearded Japanese immigrant. Taught me the basics of how to pull legs. I think I will create my own leg pulling kata and name it after him. That is if I would know his name... but since he never spoke to anyone....
