It's with sadness that I inform you all of the passing of Kenzo Mabuni, Soke of Shito Ryu. He was a wonderful man.

Though I practiced Shito ryu briefly while living in Japan, I have much admiration for this style and the teachings of Mabuni hanshi and others. Seems we have lost, yet again, another one of the greats of budo and his loss will be greatly felt.

another great master of Shito ryu passes it is a very sad day indeed. My thoughts and prayers go to his family friends and students....

My Condolence to you Rob and the rest of the Shito-Ryu Family. I have never met nor trained with Soke Mabuni. But your loss can be felt by those who practiced the virtues of traditional Karate-Do,
