    Angry Stolen Kotetsu

    Hello everyone,
I wanted to let you all know that a few days ago my garage was broken into. I lost many expensive things from locksmithing tools, clothes and power tools. Among all replaceable items was my kotetsu. All else I can care less about but you cannot make the same blade twice. You can make the same shape, style, size..whatever but not the same blade. This one is 30", brown tsuka ito, brown tachi sageo, gold bamboo fuchi/kashira.
Anyway, I am here in Huntington Beach...where I was robbed but need help in finding anything suspicious or strange as far as ebay, pennysaver, newspapers etc which have classifieds and show a japanese blade for sale. I'm guessing this person has no clue what they have so any information will be helpful. I am looking around the hood and have friends all over in different places out here looking for it as well. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for all your help.

Do you have any pictures of it? That way it can help others out with Ebay searches and stuff.

    Default Stolen Kotetsu

Thank you everyone for your responses. I will post the pics I find soon. Kinda hard because alot of the photos that were taken were when I was using it...
The tsuba has the Hawk...chidori bird theme, big moko tsuba. I don't really have any close up photos. I'll see what I can find. Thanks again.
I will do some foot work this weekend at the swap meets, pawn shops etc.

It's a VERY GOOD chance that whomever stole it has no idea what they have.

    David:

Dan Keupp knows a bunch of people on E-Bay, send him a quick e-mail. Sorry my friend. See you at the tai kai. If you need to borrow one for the Tai Kai let me know, I'll get one of the guys or girls to get you one.

Obviously someone was just too scared to face you in the taikai and were hoping to somehow trip you up. They should know it is not the sword that makes the swordsman... :-)

Seriously, though, I've put out the word to a few other groups, just in case anyone sees it out there on the net. Good luck--keep us posted on any results.

Didn't think about doing that. Oh well, at least I can post this in other forums to see if anyone might know about it.
