Smile Spears, Bows & Arrows and Swords...

    Greetings,

Being multi-lingual, I read finger speak...he is saying:

"Spears, Bows & Arrows and Swords...might not work against that 16 pound gun!"

"I have a cunning plan to become Shogun..pull my finger if you want in on the coup, or stare in disbelif if you think I'm a traitor and will die a horrible death at the hands of the Space Chickens."

(by the way, is that the "Mibu gishi den" movie?)

Sorry, I'm not totally sure which movie it is from.

I do believe that the guy holding up the finger is supposed to be Okita-kun.

Isn't it Tabu/Gohatto by ... was it Oshima? I never remember the directors.

It's the movie Mibu Gishi Den, released in the west as: "When the Last Sword is Drawn".

    Darn, you're right...

I recogised the characters, and as I don't usually watch samurai movies I figured it must be Gohatto since it's the one I KNOW I've seen.

But now you mentioned the name it rings a bell. Watched it while having a fever last summer, so I'll use that as an excuse for not remembering the right name.
