You might want to try using the forum's search function. There are some Suio Ryu people who are members of this forum and they usually post information about seminars, etc. here. Also, unless I'm very much mistaken, you can find a link to the Suio Ryu US website at koryu.com.

My opinion is, in all likelihood, worth exactly what you are paying for it.

    Default Suio Ryu SF

Yes a group of Suio Ryu is in SF!!! It is run by some great people Chris and Ryan. They study under Brain Stokes Sensei of San Diego.
I can attest that they are good at japanese swordsmanship as I have trained with them and train under Brian.

    From Brian's website
Suio Ryu® Study Group in San Francisco!

Ryan and Chris Holter, recently awarded Shoden by Katsuse Soke, and students of the BuRaiAn Dojo of the Suio Ryu®, practice on Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the DanceGround Keriac studio, 1805 Divisadero St., San Francisco. For more information please contact them at swordscholars@yahoo.com or call Brian at 858-755-6447.

    Brain's website is http://www.suioryu-bu-rai-an-dojo.or...x1/index1.html

He (Brian) is very good at sword both Japanese and Western Sword (Fiore) and if you are lucky enough to train with either under him or his students Chris and Ryan you will be considered lucky. I know as I live here on the east cost and try to get out their when every possible!!!!

IF you need more information on this amazing koryu here is the link to Koryubooks.com (by author Diane Skoss) write up showing that Suio is a very legit koryu. http://www.koryubooks.com/guide/suio.html

Here is the website of Soke (in Japanese) http://www2.wbs.ne.jp/~nck/suiou/index.htm
