Ninpo and Ninjutsu?

what is the difference in the term Ninpo and Ninjutsu?

I know that Ninjutsu when written in Kanji have the kuyomi that means "Techniques of Endure". However, I have never saw Ninpo written in Kanji before nor I know what it means. Can anyone clarify this for me?

err... Okay. Ninjutsu is the fighting form. Ninpo is where you place yourself when you are fighting so you know what to do.

My understanding of the words is this...

Ninjutsu= the set of skills and techniques which includes all the subskills such as combat skills, water training, stealth and concealment etc. Ie. the art of the ninja at the physical level.

Ninpo= the driving philosphy/mindset of 'Nin' ie. the art of the ninja at the spiritual level.

If I am mistaken please feel free to correct me.

Ninjutsu, I've seen as a specific skill set like kenjutsu refering to feudal era espionage. While ninpo I've seen as the Takamatsuden arts and philosophy specifically.

Ninjutsu is a skill set for espionage and not very much into personal combat just enough to get out alive.

Ninpo is a philosophical approach to the Takamatsuden arts.

You can start there....

If you go to a school teaching true Ninpo, you will be taught that your words and actions should be respectful towards others, because you disagreed with Achim you chose to add personal insults instead of arguing your side of the issue (also in violation of e-budo rules...)

Of course ninpo spiritual training goes beyond just this, but basic manners are a foundational aspect of it, as it is kihon to all true Budo in general.
