    Default Hatsumi video name?

    Hello there all,

I have some older Hatsumi videos that I have long since lost the jackets on so I have NO IDEA what there are named or what they cover (sorry, I don't read Japanese).

I was hoping some of the Bujinkan practitioners might be familiar enough with them to e able to help me identify them?

The first one (after the standard opening) starts with a practitioner in the woods doing strikes and multiple of 3 strikes against a tree wrapped in a white cushion. The next scene is of two ninja holding a tree wrapped in a white cushion and another ninja diving roll over the top of it. Ater a few more outdoor scenes, it cut to inside an demonstates basic stances and techniques (of course all the while Soke is narrating).

Can anyone help me identify this video tape (name and number?)

    Thanks

    Default Thanks

    Many thanks sir.

I have a few more (5 or 6 actually) that I'd like to ask about if anyone can help.

Second tape is from the same quest series and starts out after the opening with two practitoners kneeling, then knee walking towards each other to demonstrate a takedown and armbar turnover (from kneeling position). Right after that it gets into standup techniques with Soke.

If anyone can help, much appreciated.

Why we're trying to figure out #2 (above), how bout the one that opens with spiders in the credits, moves to kamae, and then shows two opponants going at it in full samurai gear and getup?

without getting up and playing the videos or dvds but i'm sure the 'title' or 'video series number' X is displayed at the beginning.

and you lost how many of the jacket covers?

Although nobody is suggesting that anyone has purchased or borrowed tapes/DVDs and recorded them before sending them back but did it all in a hurry and didn't write down which was which and is now thinking of making 3rd generation copies to sell on ebay.

Just thought I'd make that absoloutely clear!

I bought a fake DVD on ebay ages ago unknowingly and it was very poor quality copy and after playing it twice all the data on the disc disappeared.

I take a dim view of this kind of thing!

Adam, thanks for not suggesting that I might be considering doing anything unethical or illegal, or that I may have purchases the tapes and returned them after making copies. God knows I would never do that, so thanks for being so supportive and understanding and not suggesting such a thing. .

To be completely honest, most of these tapes were given to me a number of years ago by my ninjutsu instructor (a high ranking Japan trained bujinkan practitioner) when he left the area and returned to Japan, but they were without label or jackets. I can't speak for him as to where he got the tapes.

I'm just tryng to get them in order finally.
