Founded by Toda Sakyô Isshinsai. Based on Sakagami Tarô Kunishige’s Gyokko-ryû shi-tôjutsu* tradition from the middle of the Tenmon era, Toda Sakyô Isshinsai developed Gyokko-ryû kosshijutsu and Kotô-ryû koppô
and taught it to Momochi Sandayû according to inside of the Iga-ryû ninjutsu tradition from the latter days of the Tokugawa period, it came to Toda Shinryûken. Shinryûken Masamitsu died in Meiji 40 (1907) at the age of 90. Reference Kotô-ryû for more.
*note - I added a dash (-) between "shi" and "tô" due to the software thinking it is a censored word.
