    Default Fujiyama batto jutsu

Ive seen this new federation advertised quite heavily in the MA press recently, here in the uk. And I was wondering what sort of reputation the Fujiyama and the Federation of iai schools has?

Looks like David Dyer is affiliated with the school--I believe he's a member of e-budo.

That's Shinto Ryu Iai Battojutsu as taught by Takeshi Mochizuki Sensei.
I don't know anything about the federations but you can read about our group and the history of the Ryuha here at www.shinto-ryu.net.

    Default federation

hi , The federation is only four years old , and was set up purely as a vehicle to supply insurance to anybody who was not a member of any other organisation, but who practised martial arts , although mainly aimed at iai practioners ,hence the name , but we wil help out any group we can, we also supply help and assistance if needed, we are not a governing body and do not wish to be , but just a loose group outside , the mainstream, ,we are not a rival to anybody , but will support all , we welcome any and all disembodied individuals and smaller stand alone groups , hope this helps

    Smile federation

Hi we dont vet anyone but will acccept new members based on the knowledge that is given to us by the applicant and his stlye , class, club etc, we do not see ourselves as a group that is there to decide who should and who shouldnt be allowed to join , we do like to meet members and try to have some interaction with them , so that we are able to understand , where they are coming from, there are a lot of individual clubs, groups etc out there that may be having trouble getting insurance and or just finding other like minded people who practice the sword arts and I see the federation as one way of contacting others , who sometimes may feel left out, we currently have groups , that practise Muso shinden, muso jikiden, toyama ryu, tenshin ryu, and batto jutsu ,not all of these are recognised in this country, I hope this helps,
basically we work by recommendation, from existing members and word of mouth.

    Hi Dave,

I noticed on your profile that you list your teacher as Ishido Shizufumi - I thought you practiced MJER iai...? I appreciate that Ishido-s is more than capable of teaching this style, but his main teaching is that of Muso Shinden Ryu.

    Have you 'crossed over'...?
