Martial Arts Comedy 'Jump' Going Off-Broadway
A popular Korean non-verbal show is going Off Broadway this fall.
After a two-week preview starting late September, the comedy "Jump" will kick off an open run on Oct. 7 at the Union Square Theatre in New York.
The 90-minute show is about an eccentric Korean family all trained in the martial arts, who use their skills to deal with burglars who break into their home.
The show's combination of martial arts, acrobatics, and slapstick comedy has been well-received in Europe and Asia.
Producers are working on modifications to the performance to cater to American audiences.
This is the second time a Korean production will be showing Off Broadway following "Nanta" or "Cookin'" which opened there in 2002.
