So Rick, are you the owner/teacher there? The site does not mention.

No, I am not an instructor there. However, I am called the 'Senior' student. You're right, though. There needs to be a spotlight page on the instructors there..

While I'm sure Mr.Greenwood means well, the The Academy of Combative Warrior Arts is not a Ninjutsu school. The founders do have a background in both the Bujinkan under Ralph Severe and 'Robert Bussey's warrior international'. The head instructor, Justin Everman also has a background in Jun Fan, BJJ, and various other martial arts. More recently Justin has been promoting the 'Keysi Fighting Method' (as seen in the recent Batman movies). I find Jason to be a well rounded and competent instructor. His school however does not have any current ties to the Japanese Ninja arts.
For Authentic Ninjutsu training in the DFW area one can got to the following web sites:

Many apologies for touting the authenticity of the Ninjutsu at the ACWA. While I was lead to believe that it was to be a ninjutsu school, it has in fact gone off to a whole different direction. It does not claim to be a ninjutsu school anymore, and I don't think it really did all that much to begin with. But the new direction is a great adaptation and functional as well.
I no longer train with Justin as I am currently out of cash. I will be back on a training regimen with a more traditional Ninjutsu school or Kenjutsu school soon. Hopefully one which is progressive with an attitude set in today's circumstances.

More accurately this post should be resident in
the Close Quarter Combatives area. While the A.C.W.A.
has its roots in other arts, including Ninjutsu, in which I
trained in for 8 years, this is no longer
our primary area of focus. While we utilize
concepts from many arts that embody the entire
use of force continuum, no one style is prevalent
over another (with the exception of the inclusion
of KFM).
When we drill down to the core concepts of an art
we see they share a common framework, as we say
“truth is truth” and you should find it everywhere.
We concentrate on teaching how techniques are only
are the physical manifestion of concepts and if we
understand these mechanics, an entire world of
options start to open up to us.
Our motto is:
Adapt - Evolve - Transcend
In this methodology we have found the answers we have
been searching for these many years.
Each of us must find his or her own path to
truth. May the path you choose lead you to
the answers you seek as well.
Stay safe,
Justin J. Everman

If you do have a need to seep gallons upon gallons of sweat and train hard as crap. Get with Mr. Everman. I can in no way condone NOT going there to get a good hard train in. I can in no way shape or form find any excuse for anyone to not give this dojo a once-over.

Nick Donovan passed away earlier this year. Even then, I'm not sure he was even in the Jinenkan at the time. As far as I know, there is no Jinenkan group here in Dallas.
