Once again, so much for "bio-mechanical cutting."
Great vid, John. I was just talking to a teammate who investigated a case where mutliples attacked a guy who fought them off with his Spyderco. Stabbed one guy through the heart. That guy drove away with his buddies, went to the hospital, and is still with us today. There are many, many stories of people taking "fatal" wounds and continuing on - even fighting.
There are two lessons here:
1. WE often don't have to succumb to even serious wounds if we choose not to;
2. We shouldn't expect our adversaries to do so, either.
Stay in the Fight.
Hey, our first clue to the function of the forebrain was a guy named Phineas Gage taking an iron rod up through his jaw, behind his eye, and out the top of his skull! He lived, though he wasn't the same person afterwards. (Reasons to be careful tamping explosives, btw...) He lost all ability to distinguish right from wrong, all ability to carry through long-term plans, etc. He lived, however. As long as there's no serious infection, and a major blood vessel's not destroyed, damage to the brain is surprisingly surviveable.

Here is another interesting video of what best describes the Warrior Spirit:
