Eh. I don't have a dog in this fight, and probably won't post on the subject again. However, as
    1) he's the one who put himself up on youtube demonstrating his stuff and
    2) he not only has no formal training, but seems to have a beef with people who suggest that maybe if he's cutting his thumb that means he needs to get some, I don't see a problem with people here calling him out.

My opinion is, in all likelihood, worth exactly what you are paying for it.

It never ceases to amaze me the kind of stuff people put up for public consumption on youtube.

    Default huh?

think we are talking about two different people. Dodaro is not in the first vid, have no issues with calling his stuff BS (most of aikido came from Japan?). The guy doing the sword is a student, not a made-up soke'.

just a quick note, the link now has comment approval turned on, so don't expect any non-fanboy items to show. a comment I made was deleted.
Thanks! And I'm glad to know my comments aren't the only things he's deleting.

I dunno, for that student, he needed to not be using a sharp sword. If he really didn't know how to use it, he could have sheathed it in himself, as people on here have done. He didn't know how to cut, at all, and that was only one problem. Though, he's so bad at cutting that he's ready for the watermelon on somebody's throat demo.

Incidentally, while that person who was holding the stand was an idiot, he probably wouldn't have been cut either, just slammed with an effectively blunt chunk of steel.
