Default Passing of Professor Imi Louise Okazaki Mullins

i have not yet seen notice of this here, so for those interested:

on January 4, 2008, Professor Imi Louise Okazaki Mullins passed away.

She was the youngest daughter of the founder of Danzan Ryu Jujutsu, Professor Henry Okazaki.

She was a brilliant teacher, and an amazingly kind person.

so sad to hear this news. It is very saddening to know that great teachers of older generations are dying out, before we are able to learn all of their wisdom and knowledge. I pray to Lord God, please give strength to the Okazaki family. May Prof. Imi Okazaki-Mullins rests in peace.

    Default Missing Imi.

Every one in my dojo who knew her was devastated to hear of her passing. Her women’s only class at convention were always the highlight of the weekend. This years AJJF convention will shine a little less brightly.
