If its one thing that we all suffer with at some point in time its making decisions. We all reach points where we have to make a decission that could impact on our life.
This is one thing that I think we can all learn from when training, the importance of being decisive. If you try to apply a waza with an indecisive state of mind you will find many flaws in the waza and more complications with its application than is required. For instance, if you are indecisive about where to place your foot and find yourself changing your mind with regard to where your foot should be then you inevitably disrupt your balance, lose your focus and any hope of a technique being applied.
When training i think it is important to be decisive with your movement, posture, position and application of all techniques. It is good to question and investigate, but i think that the act of being decisive as both uke and tori is an important lesson to learn for use in daily life.
I was wondering what your views are regarding decisiveness in the dojo?
