Hi, Can anyone recommend a good supplier of Jo & Bokken?
I've found this supplier online out of Japan, and purchased a couple of bags already.

Here in Wollongong, for bokken and jo our preferred supplier is Sakura near the budokan in Tokyo (UOWKC have been buying a mix of iaido and jodo gear from them since 1996, originally only in person for cash but now they have discovered credit cards).

The price for a white oak SMR jo (we only use Japanese white oak here) at 3,200 yen plus shipping from Sakuraya is competitive with the $88 AUS price from Kokoro ryu in Campbelltown (the closest store to us) for a white oak Japanese jo and well under the $100+ some Sydney stores charge. Of course in Campbelltown they also have $22 red oak country of origin unstated jo for the fiscally challenged.... that is a price that is not easily matched by any out of country supplier.

I don't know what it would cost you for shipping but Kingfisher is really nice. It's the company my Sensei recommended to me. I have a walking staff from them (Jo with carbide tip) and plan to order a bokken and bo.

You did not say if you were buying Jo and Bokken for just yourself or in bulk for the Dojo. That might make a difference on where you look to buy and how much you would want to pay.
