    Default Japanese Literature

    Hi

I recently became interested in Japanese Literature.

I am looking for well know classic pieces on the following topics:

    The ocean, sea, fishing, ect

    Mount Fuji, travel and adventure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You

    Hello,

Since this is a language forum, I thought I would ask. Do you mean in Japanese, or in English translation?

    Best wishes,

    Both, if possible.

    If not, either one.

    On travel:

Ise Monogatari (Ise Tales) by Unknown (Ariwara no Narihira?)

Oku no Hosomichi (The Narrow Road North) by Matsuo Basho

Hizakurige (Shank's Mare) by Jippensha Ikku

A lot of noh plays are concerned with travel too, but very few of them are translated.
