Default Officer NOT Down: The Peter Soulis Incident

Great story on many levels - warrior mindset, staying in the fight, taking the fight to the bad guy, how many rounds you can take and keep going, and how many hits THEY may take and still keep going.

Don't believe the myths, they just may kill you!

Default And the Marcus Young Incident

Another treatment of the Marcus Young Incident, with interesting graphic of the encounter. Armed grappling was not just something for the classical bushi, it is crucially relevant today, especially for LE:

    Incredible stuff, Kit.

I hope you've recovered fully from your encounter.

    Best to you.

    I have, thanks David.

But these men dealt with far worse than I did.

My father was a county deputy and assistant sheriff for 24 years, so I grew up surrounded by deputies and the Sheriff, himself. I know what it's about and I appreciate your service.

    Best to you.

I had the opportunity to hear Marcus Young give a presentation on his shooting a few years ago at the ILEETA Conference in Chicago. It is quite a story and he is quite a police officer.
