    Perhaps it might help, for those who practice sword arts, to describe what they do as "a classical Japanese fencing style," which has very different connotations from the phrase "martial arts."

    after that, i think that budo it's a concept more related to ''the way'' that the war/martial stuff. so, the primary definition of budo, maybe in the present time it's a little different. we are not in 1834 any more
