i seem to have misplaced some of my notes. Can someone please help?
There is a famous quote by Kenwa Mabuni, "Karate-Do is a lifetime study"
how is this said in Japanese (romanji)?
Thank you!

My Japanese isn't very good, but I think it would be something close to:
Aru jumyo no chosa wa karate
Jason G. Bilodeau
Fairly new to Japanese myself, so here's my analysis:
Japanese is subject-object-verb (typically). In "Aru jumyo no chosa wa karate" it appears that:
Aru - verb, to exist (for inanimate objects)
Jumyo - lifespan
No - indicates the object
Wa - (written as "ha") indicates the subject
Karate - the subject
Chosa - I wasn't able to find a definition, the closest was chosaku, meaning book/writing
From this i would suggest "Karate-ha (pronounced "wa") jumyou hagemimasu"
Hagemu = to endeavor
I actually might use Hissei in place of jumyou. It means "lifetime". Also, perhaps tsutomeru would be a better verb. (to make a great effort).
There are so many nuances that I don't yet understand.
Maybe someone will come along and correct me?

There are many ways to say it in Japanese, but I don't think you guys are really close, sorry to say.

Long as we're making up titles, call me 'The Duke of Earl'
Hello Johnson San,
Karate do is my lifetime study
唐手道は私の生涯学習です。
Karate Do wa watashi no shougai gakushu desu.
生涯 Means lifetime
学習 Means to learn
My sensei used to say , ’Bujutsu wa watashi no jinsei desu!
My life is Bujutsu!
Dozo yoroshiku onegai itashimasu
Sincerely,
Duke Meade
I hadn't considered using "study" as a noun, but that makes more sense, now that I think about it. I didn't use "watashi-no" because I was not translating as "my', but as "a" lifetime.
Lots more to learn.

I used to train in Mabuni sensei's dojo (near Bentenchou) when I lived in Japan some 20 years ago but I don't remember the quote from that time (though I have seen it later).
I do recall a similar quote:
空手は生涯武道です
Karate wa shougai budou desu
Karate is a lifetime martial art
Hope this is of help
