We will be hosting an open tournament with the following events: open hand forms, kobudo forms, team forms, point sparing, and breaking. The forms competition will follow AAU and WUKO rules in that all forms must be traditional named forms. The breaking will follow ITF rules with three categories, power, heigth, and an unsupported or "speed" break. We have confirmation from traditional schools across the 5-State area teachin...g various arts including Shorinryu, Ishinryu, Tae Kwon Do, and Shotokan. Entry fees are just $20 for the first event and then $5 for each additional event. Spectators will be asked for $1.

We will be tallying points in this tournament for a seasonal grand-champion award. The award will be given to the person who accumulates the most points across a 3-tournament series. The other two tournaments will be hosted by Mr. Tom Malone and Mr. Jason Eisele at or near their schools.

This is a great opportunity to get in front of some different judges and get some feedback on how you are doing as well as a chance to spar with some people outside of your own school.
