Default Tenmu Mutoryu Jujutsu / Souseido

Is anyone here familiar with these? Here's what I have read online:

    Tenmu Mutoryuu Jujutsu
    天武無闘流柔術
Founded in the 17th century in what is now Toyama prefecture, by the Sasaki family. In 1987 it was formalized into a system called Souseido (相生道).

I've searched all over the Internet for information about this art, whether it is a legit koryu art, etc, but I'm only seeing official sites and Wikipedia.

To make matters even more complicated/suspicious, there seems to be some kind of lineage issue, with Souseido being taught after the death of the founder by clubs organized under his approval, while a splinter group in Aichi is teaching Tenmu Mutoryu.

One of my goals in coming to Japan was to study a koryu art, but they are hard to find in Aichi, and I was pretty excited to find this... but it seems a little suspicious. I'd really appreciate any help!!
