Cool 'Aizuchi': The Japanese art of grunting your way through conversations

Can't think of a thing to say when chatting with a Japanese acquaintance? There's an "app" for that! Just grunt your responses to show you're listening and engaged. Check out this video that was featured in JapanToday.

And just to bring it all back to a budo theme, the word "aizuchi" comes from the art of sword making. The sword maker and his assistant strike the hot iron alternately. Striking with good rhythm means that the sword will be well made.
Tsuchi (槌) is the hammer. Working together becomes aizuchi (相槌).
