What art does this represent?

I'm curious about this. Is this an esoteric aspect of an actual Ryuha of some sort. I'm a Karate, Judo and Gendai Jujutsu (modern dirty Judo) guy. I am not familar with this.

Unfortunately I have. Over-zealous uke falling at the slightest sideways glance from sensei, "ki masters" "throwing" people without touching them, etc. It's not completely unknown to be seen (although not usually this extreme) at unaffiliated Aikido/Aikijutsu schools.

I don't know what's going on in this video; maybe they're demonstrating what BS looks like, or maybe it is BS. I can't say. Maybe someone who speaks Japanese can translate what's being said.

The open hand stuff was clearly for laughs ( I think), but I'll reserve my comments on the sword work. I know as much about sword skills as I do about tax accountancy. It might be brilliant, it might be awful, or it might be brilliant posing as awful, I simply wouldn't know.

Then again, the third clip uploaded to YouTube by the same uploader is this one titled "More Bullshido" and once agin people are smiling, but somehow I'm less confident that it is a joke now.

David there is no sword work to evaluate. His uke falls down each time before anything happens.

When you feel pressure from a strong swordsman, backing up is a normal reaction. So if they'd shown that it might be more believable.

The sword system that I studied longest -- Seiki Ryu Kenjutsu -- was a form of Aikiken or Aiki Toho, and the reactions of the uchidachi in the above videos don't look like anything I've seen or experienced myself.

I think the subject videos are a joke...that's not intended to be a joke. It looks like a "personality cult" where a bunch of overly-suggestible "disciples" have come under the spell of a charismatic, self-styled "ki master." But I'm just an outsider looking at some video clips, so what do I know?

If I was to guess, I would have to say the art of physical comedy. Peter Sellers was a master of that art, these are obviously amateurs.

I have seen this several different time. I get a smile and a snicker each time. That third video with the shoulder rolling made me think he was trying a new dance form!

My guess is because one of the clips is labelled "Bullshido" that they are joking
