Default Hattori Hanzô - re-enactment / living history / historical cosplay.

    Hi there

It's been quite some years since I was on this forum, but now I need some advice again.
I'd like to add re-enactment + living history + historical cosplay to my martial arts repertoire, but not in a cheap, cheesy way, but with all the correct materials.
I would like to impersonate Hattori Hanzô, the general of Tokugawa Ieyasu. (The historical one! Not some anime or Kill Bill kind of stuff!)

Are there any pictures of his armour? Does it still exist?
I know there are some wood prints, showing him in a white armour with green sleeves and green pant legs. But they aren't very detailed and there's no kabuto to be seen.
Furthermore I know that his favourite spear is preserved and displayed in public, but I can't find any pictures of it.
I think I found that the kabuto bore antlers, but I'm not 100% sure, nor do I know how the rest of the kabuto would look like.

All help would be MOST welcome!

Your best hope, in my opinion, would be to talk to the folks on the forum at Samurai Archives ... http://forums.samurai-archives.com/

    Good luck.

Well... many thanks though! I'll try my luck there!
