I've read somewhere (don't remember the source) that the globalization of this system is originating from the modernization (meiji) / industrialization of japan.


  • Is it still widely associated and used in koryu ?
  • As I reckon that koryu groups (kai) vary greatly from one school to another, what of this relationship with small and big groups ?
  • Is this relationship differently perceived and applied, according to potential "ethnocentrism" ... ? (A friend said that schools in japan work in "dojo"-like behavior)
