    Default Secret Techniques or Specialty Techniques: Which are better

    Some styles have secret techniques, while others have particular techniques that they seem to specialize in. Which do you think is more effective? My thoughts are at

    Interesting read.

    What is the saying "No special secret, just practice".....something like that.

    I remember when I first got to learn okuden waza. I was like, Wow! I get to learn the secret stuff now.

    A lot of it was just like the basic stuff. It is like okuden is not really secret special stuff but more like stuff that really makes a statement regarding the Ryuha's identity.

    I guess.... that was the way it seemed to this farmboy from Illinois.
