Default Old school Judo/Jujutsu in Seattle

Does anyone teach old school Judo / Jujutsu in Seattle? I'm talking Goshin Jutsu, various kata, Go No Kata, Ju No Kata, looking at striking and takedowns?

Seattle Dojo - mainly uchi komi sports Judo training
Aaron Fields - no longer regularly teaching at Seatown grappling and they're pretty sport orientated.
BJJ, there's good stuff, but again sport orientated.

Check out Yang Ki Yin jiu-jutsu.

    http://yangkiyin.org/

Despite the Chinese name its based in Yabe ryu. There is a Seattle area group, I am sure the Rhode Island group could get you in contact with them. I recently did some (tactical) training with a long time member who was a very solid guy - we did not do jujutsu, but talking with him the YKY/Yabe sounded very old school.

I am out of the loop so the information about the Gyofukan is news to me. Tony is an outstanding teacher, and an awesome guy.

They don't teach kata at Seattle Dojo? Karen Nagai's there, she was a student of Fukuda-sensei, pretty sure she knows her kata.

Can't get more old school than Takeuchi ryu and Tony Abry is indeed a great teacher and a great guy- there are no airs about him despite his advanced rank and he holds nothing back.

It's a great koryu! However, Takeuchi/Takenouchi ryu is not an internal art.... though some Daito ryu aikijujutsu people have practiced Takeuchi ryu using their internal/aiki method as the driver.

Yes, thread should probably be moved - even the OP had nothing to do with internal arts and more about old school judo and jujutsu.

    Ryan,
I have moved your thread from the Internals/Aiki Dojo Finder, to the Jujutsu forum's Dojo Finder sub-forum, with a permanent re-direction link. Given the nature of most traditional judo and jujutsu, this seems the most appropriate place for it.
