    Exclamation A little advance notice

The hosting service that has handled e-Budo.com for many years just gave notice that they no longer want to host our Web-site, as we evidently have far too much data for their new servers. So we are now looking for a replacement hosting service that will, I am certain, cost considerably more than what we have been paying. We need to make the switch prior to June 1 of this year to keep from being shut down.

So I am giving advance notice that we owners will be asking the membership to kick in a few dollars/yen/euro each year to help pay for keeping the Web-site afloat. I'll keep everyone updated as our search progresses, & thanks in advance for your continued support.

    Aloha!
    Ken

Ken for those of us that live in the Dark Ages is there a way to send you a check/MO directly?

Hmm, I actually answered this two days ago, but don't see my response....

Yes, Chris, I have a post office box where checks can be sent securely, but won't list it here until we have some vague idea who will be our new hosting service, & how much they will charge. Thanks in advance for your support!

    Glad to help.

And thanks for your efforts on what is essentially our behalf.

Just let me know when the times comes.

    Hi Ken,

Check out Lightfoot hosting (lfchosting.com). I've been with them for 10 years, have hosted many clients' sites, including some with multi-gigabyte databases. They are responsive, straightforward, have very good support even by phone, and have always been proactive but careful with updates and systematic improvements. You may even save money. Also, if you go over allocations, you can just have them increase it for an extremely tiny monthly fee. Overall, a great site if you don't need a dedicated server.
