    Default Aiki Myoden

A little aiki-no-jutsu in Boston, last month, with Salahuddin Muhammad of Hontai Hakkei Ryu Aikijujutsu.

Note his comments about no pressure or tension at the point of contact. Our touch is light, seemingly empty, yet the entirety of our core is behind it. This is true of weapons as well as taijutsu. Those who have trained in aiki for a while feel like "nothing" at the point of contact, yet deliver a huge amount of force at will to the opponent's structure and center of mass, through the point of contact -- the more force uke/teki provides, the more there is to give back.
